So, the front-page story in the Boston Globe this morning was about the Cann sisters (last mentioned by me here). Beth was an incredibly nice woman who lived on my street and went to my church. She was divorced and had three daughters. One night,

If we didn't postulate that women could always evade male violence by putting forth enough effort, then we might have to contemplate the possibility that some of the responsibility for dealing with male violence might lie with men.
