Yep, it is that time again.

Elf - Yep, that's a capital E now.  Elf's new medicine is really bringing her around, and she's decided she is no longer a lower case.  She's assertive at work, on track, and feels the need to get her life in line.  I'm pretty proud of her, but she is changing.  It scares her, that she's changing.  She thinks I won't love ( Read more... )

The place I worked for moved buildings.  We feel all professional and all!  New systems, new phones... old problems.  But damn, we look good dealing with those old problems.

So, after a surgery that was 6 hours long (it should have been two), my mutant thyroid has been removed.  In just 6 months, it went from a 2.5 cm lump to something the doctor referred to as 'the size of his fist.'  It had apparently grown around behind my esophagus, and was holding on for dear life.  They will know if it adds 'malignant' to its ( Read more... )

So, I finally got a hold of my doctor. My thyroid needs to come out. The lumps inside have a one in 5 chance of being malignant, but in either case they need to pull it out to make sure. Even if they aren't right now, they could be in the future, if they leave the confines of my thyroid. Considering one lump grew .5 cm in 6 months, chances are ( Read more... )
