I was waiting for my next life-caper to occur so as not to lower the bar of expectation for all my loyal readers =)
But since that's not happening I'll just make some stuff up here soon. Something with robots or monkies.

How come I have to be anonymous if I'm not a live journal user? (grumble, grumble.) Well, anonymous here commenting on the mention of hermit crabs in this post. One time I had a hermit crab. I did, seriously. It was given to me by the fine people at COSI (which is science museum thing in Ohio, much like MOSI but way cooler). These lovely people gave me a crab and didn't explain well enough what to feed it (or I may not have been paying attention as I was temporarily 10 years old at the time as it happened between being 9 and 11). So, you see, the creature died afer a time, I managed to make a cross country move with it but when it got to Florida and then I temporarily forgot about it in all the excitement. Yes, it passed on, gentle reader, and forgive me for sounding so callous about the matter. Once it had left its mortal coil, however, there was a distinct smell of raisins about its shell. Which, may answer the question (which you have been asking yourself for some time) of why I do not eat raisins.

It's possible the crab molted, found a bigger shell nearby, returned to the ocean, and left you delicious raisens deep in his shell as a thank you for RAISing him.

That or that's what a broken heart smells like.

I think it's the delicious one.

Too right, I may have overlooked the idea of there being actual raisins involved. In fact, if you are correct, my poor hermit crab would have had a long journey to the ocean ahead of him (1 hour by car, something like 100 hours as the crab walks) and he would have needed those raisins himself to help him make the journey, but instead (weep, wail) he left them for me... Truly the crab is the noblest of creatures.
You are right, by the way, about the murder of crows thing, dead right!

now I'm curious about pistol shrimp....why the hell are they called "pistol shrimp"?? are they going to be the police force in the tank?? "You listen here, Mr. Clown Fish, I don't CARE if you think you're the sexiest fish around, I'M the king of this tank!! And if my brain tells my finger to pull this trigger, it's gonna pull it!!"

Will you name him Cyrus?? :-)

Pistol shrimp have a really big claw that snaps shut with such force that it stuns things closeby in the tank as well as making everybody in the room turn around and say "what was that!". It's like someone snapping their fingers really loud. They form symbiotic relationships with some gobies ("watchman" gobies). They share food in exchange for the goby keeping a lookout at the shirmp's burrow since shrimp have poor eyesight. Booya!

I've got work to do!

Work schmerk!! ;-) I'm really tired (allergy attack at 3am this morn...bllluuuuhhh) and fidgety...think I'll go home early today, sick. Dang, and I was going to call you (just to bug you) ;-)

that's pretty neat, it seems I saw something about those shrimp while watching Discovery channel in a hotel room last Christmas....didn't know about the symbiotic relationship though. Wouldn't the gobies be stunned, too???

you should still name the pistol shrimp "Cyrus." :)

Hey there, heavy metal dick...
