But pro-choice groups describe it as a major new restriction on abortion and further evidence of a trend towards the erosion of abortion rights.

Having a right merely means the government cannot infringe upon that right, not that the government has to use public money to force private entities to support a practice they do not want to.

haha many people who support abortion are the same ones who support the government paying for all health care..

this is only kinda related but once in another community, someone posted a news piece about some doctors who were refusing to care for homosexual patients... someone, in the comments to the post, compared it to a women's health doctor refusing to perform abortions. I was like umm... treating/healing someone and killing someone are two different things. if you don't agree with homosexuality, oh well, this person is sick and needs help. if you don't agree with abortion, there is no justification for doing one. we had such an argument, and my grampa was a pro-life OB/GYN, so obviously I took a lot of what he said personally. stuff like "if you don't want to do your job, don't become that kind of doctor" um.. my grampa had been in a war. he'd seen enough death. when he got back, he decided to direct his studies towards birthing babies because he wanted to be on the LIFE end of medicine!
