Sam owed Ric a drink at Harry's. Unlike instances when, for instance, people owed Sam a drink, this was going to be repaid. And Ric was supposed to have an evening free. It was definitely going to be nice to have a nice, quiet evening with him after......everything.

Sam couldn't possibly count the number of malts he'd had here over the years. Couldn't count the number of beers either, but that was for a different reason, not a matter of many years.

He sat in the booth waiting for Tabitha. He thought of all the things he hoped to say before the evening was through, and wondered if he would.

Ah just got the news from Hank. My brother is going to be fine.

As to the scum who did it, the situation's being ...taken care of. No need to go into it.

Ah think Ah'll just go about being ridiculously cheerful for the rest of the evening.
