I have seen, and heard much about a 'Halloween' in my attempts to find a job. [Which is not exactly going well.] If any have information on it, I would be most grateful.

From what I've heard *spying on other people's posts wut* it's a day where people dress up and ask for candy. There's going to be a party of sorts that day.

Halloween is a pointless waste of time where idiots dress up like monsters in order to get candy. They also have parties.

It has its roots in a far older holiday, but most people have forgotten that in favour of simply screwing around. Technically, it marks and celebrates the end of the "light" days in favour of the "dark" days of winter. The Samhain. [He pronounces it sow-an.]

Not victory. The light cycles. In the summer, the days are longer, so there's more light. In the winter, the days are shorter, so there's more darkness. The Samhain, Halloween, marks the boundaries between these times.
