Thanks for the cool links.

I've seen the Wes Anderson before but I LOVE it.

The Shakespeare gifs were AMAZING! :) That makes me want to check out Merry Wives too!

The fanfic analysis was really interesting. I thought Enemies to Lover would be higher though. I think the article seems confused why things are love/hate - it's not the moral judgment in most cases. Sometimes the strong dislike is because something has been really overdone and is taken too seriously. I've never heard of the term "hard gen" or "Imagines" but I was surprised that not everybody knows what whump is, or casefic.

I'm glad you enjoyed the links.

I don't know how anyone could truly capture a representative panfandom snapshot, and I think the fandom(s) people are in massively influences these type of things. I suppose 'Imagines' must be fandom-specific, but herd gen and casefic are things one ought to be able to work out, even if I have no clue what the context for hard gen is. And if your fandom isn't a TV show or has no precedural element, casefic doesn't matter so much?

FWIW, I'm not much interested in Enemies to Lovers myself and I had to go and specifically look 'whump' up a few years ago...
