[this is the best thing you have ever laid your eyes upon-- I mean, the Professor replies back after being explained everything and not tied to a bear.]

Yes, I am quite fine. It appears that Mr. Bear has soften the fall. [Which the Professor's Pokemon had to apologize over and over again.]

It has been quite the while, has it not?

--- oof!

[Miles response to this starts with the boy making that small, tired sound as he flops down on his stomach on a hotel bed. He himself was still tired from his nine-day coma: the muscle atrophy due to disuse, and fighting with his friend, and getting socked in the face by a freaking bone, then having to climb up the stairs every time he went somewhere... it's been a long week. So here's Miles, in a rather ungentlemanly and childish manner, or simply in a manner similar to this, the Gear bouncing on the mattress as he lets it go, then coming to a crooked rest on one of the pillows.

But boy, does Miles look happy to see you, Professor. Even with that huge nasty blue-and-purple-and-black bruise on his face-- I mean, what, no not!dad you don't have to worry about that at all, look at him, all grinning even as his Plusle brings him a bag of ice.]

Hello, Professor - did you have a nice waking up?

[Because he saw you scream and Charley being a troll and you getting dogpiled. And it was pretty amazing compared to anything he saw ( ... )

[This is the worst of his liiiiiiife-- I mean, the Professor replies back to Miles after everyone explains how he went into a month coma and all that. Oh, and not being tied to a bear and under a pile of Pokemon.

He smiles when he sees that it's Miles that is replying.]

Yes, I do suppose so--

[But then that smiling falls when he sees that bruise and it turns into one of concern.]

What has happened to your face, my boy? [DAT BRUISE DAT BRUISE SENDING FATHERLY CONCERNS]

[Might be trying not to laugh now. It isn't gentlemanly to find amusement in the nice man's plight, afterall~]

Good to have you back, Professor.

[y u do dis Merlin. Well, Layton replies about forty minutes later after this whole mess is sorted ou. He can understand why people might find this funny, so he just smile and adjusts his hat.]

Yes, I do suppose it is good to be back, Merlin. Though I cannot deny that it has been fun back in London.

[Because he likes you, Professah. At least he tried not to laugh. Effort counts, right?]

I guess the experiences in your world were pleasant, at least. London's the name of your home?

[THE PROFESSOR WAS BACK. Oh boy was she happy. Miss Iris was right! And his Pokémon seem about as happy as she feels now.]

[Okay she had to let out a giggle or two at the Pokémon literally rushing the Professor for a second there. But he really looked like he was going to get crushed. And he was still tied to a bear.]

[Well, that was a surprise.]

... Welcome back, Professor. I heard you fell asleep and they couldn't wake you up for a while. Almost reminds me of what happened a while back to me. Are you alright?

[After forty minutes of being explained everything and untied and all that, he replies!]

I am quite alright. Thank you, Miss Flowers.

Yes, I have heard before in the past that a few have been falling into a deep sleep though some of them have been able to return back home during it such as I. As for why, I only can wonder.

It's weird. I was told that I just up and disappeared from Johto altogether. My Pokémon were gone, too. But I guess that's because I didn't go back home. It still doesn't explain why this place does what it does.
