Layton fanmade music album

Yay! I've finally finished my grand project, which was to create an album with original tracks inspired by the Professor Layton series. There are 25 tracks in total, each focusing on a location, character(s) or event from the games and movie. There are a wide range of genres - jazz, rock, drum & bass & orchestral - so hopefully there's something ( Read more... )

Lol, there's a lot there, thanks for taking the time to listen. ^__^ The Laytonmobile tracks have a British rock feel to them (at least, that was the idea, I'm actually not that much of a fan of the Beatles!) as a sort of homage to the games' English setting. I'm glad you liked them, at any rate! :)

Gosh, I've been listening to these all day, seriously.

If I HAD to choose my favorites, it would be Napoleon of Crime, Claire, Cucumber Sandwiches, What Lies Within ~ Pandora's Box, The Final Puzzle, A True Gentleman, Altava Heights, The Spectre's Call, Broken Man. Those are the ones I can name right off and I know I'm missing some and -- gah too many!

I love your work! You did an awesome job. <3

Wow, that's a lot! Thank you! :3 My personal favourite is Altava Heights, I could listen to that one over and over again. I really like Emmy's character, nearly every time she came on-screen in the movie she was doing something utterly amazing, like flying a plane or kicking wolves to the ground. I'm looking forward to seeing her in the fourth game.

The other track that I personally like is Napoleon of Crime. I think that AU scenario itself intrigues me, it would have been very interesting if that had actually happened in the game. So, for me, there was something extremely satisfying about putting "Professor Layton's Theme" into a far more sinister context.

Anyway, I'm babbling now. Thanks again for listening! ^__^

Yeah, Emmy is truly awesome, both in the fourth game and movie. Definitely one of my favorite characters of the series.

I really love the beginning of What Lies Within ~ Pandora's Box. I've always liked ominous/mysterious music. :D

Thank you! Out of all the moods to evoke and pin down when composing music, mysterious is my favourite one. :D

Oh wow, I'm really honoured that one of my fanfics inspired a track that's on here! :3

Will have to download this later, I need more Layton musing music~

Ah, but you're a very good writer! I'm amazed at how you're able to write such brilliant one-shots, and so quickly. It takes me, like, one month to write a single paragraph. :3

Awww, thank you! I really don't know how I write so fast, but I've been doing longer stuff lately so that slows me down. XD

Thanks for taking the time to listen! ^__^ Gypsy Jazz because I wanted to do something that sounded "French" but I stink at writing for accordion, heh.
