Hey so, Friday was my birthday and I decided (inspired awhile ago by that other Layton cake post...) to make my own Layton cake!  Some pictures behind the cut!

Layton's face is so adorably goofy, lol. And his ears! I want to nibble his ears! XD

I figured that was the book. I have it too! XD
I also used this one when I made my cake.

It may not be fancy but it's really cute! X3
The icing looks like it was really difficult. (I've never iced an odd-shaped cake, only round ones.)

Now I feel all sad that I didn't get to make a cake for my brother about a week ago... :'(

It was the first time I had ever tried to ice anything! My first cake in my life and I have to make a weird one...

It WAS kind of difficult to get it smooth and nice looking, but not horribly so.
