Hey dudes (dudettes?), I started to write a big long post but then I realised everyone would probably be all TL;DR so here's the condensed version (and yes, this is a lot shorter than the original) :
I've been working on transcribing some of the music from PL for... a couple of months now. Today I think I might have actually brought a few pieces to

I've been DYING to play something new on the piano, and the fact that you have some music for viola is even better :D
I wish I knew how to transcribe music, because I really can't tell by ear ;_;
(just a note, someone has already transcribe the big orchestral version of Professor's Layton theme. However, it would be nice to see another person transcribing it :D)

And transcribing music isn't so hard, all you need is some basic musical knowledge, a ton of stamina, and an instrument in the same room as your computer. (If my piano was in a different room, I'd go insane. Honestly.) Then you take a song, listen to it until you can hear it echoing in your skull at 4am when you still can't sleep because the second movement is killing you, and then painstakingly right out all the notes one by one until you have enough to play back and realise you've done it wrong.
... Actually wait it is hard D:
(Really?! Where?! I'm mostly just doing it on the side/at the same time as the piano version because it's hard to hear whether it sounds correct on just the piano, and I can play back more than one instrument in the software, but... wow, already? Why didn't I get the memo?)

I've been playing the violin for only a few months, so I could try to play some of them..? XDD;; Hopefully my ear can pick things up and my fingers hit the right note. *swt swt*

While I'm not good enough to play all of "The Plot Thickens" through, it sure sounds like it's not too low for a violin. If you play through it in first position, I don't see any problems.
