Hey dudes (dudettes?), I started to write a big long post but then I realised everyone would probably be all TL;DR so here's the condensed version (and yes, this is a lot shorter than the original) :

I've been working on transcribing some of the music from PL for... a couple of months now. Today I think I might have actually brought a few pieces to completion, but these pieces feature instruments I don't play so I'm not actually sure if I've done it right. What?

See, since PL features accordians in pretty much every single song and I have no idea how to write for accordians, I had to make do with instruments I have a vague idea about how to write for, so... if anyone plays the violin, viola or cello I would appreciate it if you could take a look at my sheet music and see if it's actually, um, playable. :3 You'll also be interested if you play the piano (what I play, so almost all the songs start as piano pieces until I realise I need three hands...). Also anyone who doesn't play any instruments, feel free to totally check out my gloriously irritating midi masterpieces. You can download the midis and pdfs in this here .zip file, and I'd really appreciate it. It's only 193kb so... yeah. Plus, I've gotten to the point where I've listened to these so much it's getting harder and harder to tell what's wrong, so fresh ears would be really nice.

What's included:

Crumm's Café: for piano. I think this is done, maybe? I have no idea how to end it, though, since in-game it just repeats forever.
Down the Tubes: Oh man, I did this whole thing today. *_* It's written for a string quartet, which was pretty tough to pull off since the original song is meant for 3(?) accordians and a xylophone. The midi is not so great, which is quite disappointing, if anyone is really interested in hearing it better and has Finale Notepad 2008 I can upload that version...
The Plot Thickens: This song is intended for two xylophones and an accordian, so of course I've transcribed it for a piano and a viola. Or maybe a piano and a violin. I can't figure out if the strings part is too high for a viola, too low for a violin, or both. D:
Professor Layton's Theme: Agghh ok this one isn't done but I just wanted you guys to hear it. I've been working on it since, like, May 2008 and finally had a breakthrough this week while listening to the VOCOLOID version, since I realised that once I knew the words it was infinately easier to transcribe the fast part. But then I realised that the VOCOLOID version was very simplified, so I had to do it all over again anyway. But at least I can sing along, now. :3 (If anyone missed my previous post, I wrote out the lyrics).

In case anyone is wondering, I'm also working on The Adventure Begins, About Town, Deserted Amusment Park, Pursuit in the Night, and a big gigantic orchestral version of Professor Layton's Theme that's probably going to kill me. Whee~

... Ok, so, help?
