What's up

So here's what's up with me:

I went to the physical therapist, and she thinks it's not just tendinitis but some sort of nerve thing.  The pain problem goes all the way from my ankle straight up my knee and into my hip and back, so now I need to do some exercises and and something called "nerve flossing" and go back about twice a week for a lot of ( Read more... )

Well, that's a relief. I'd hate for everybody to quit reading. Yeah, in some ways I want AL more than FT. Nobody cuddles anybody in my legacy, so I'm more about the giant fishtank, but I do have Cass living in the neighborhood.

I have to get the kids into Uni, but there are some shots I need to get while a certain person is still a teen.

I think the only things about Joss Whedon are "also teenage vampire thingie," and "hey! somebody who did something I like!" but most of the suggestions have been borderline delusional. Oh, here's a new one: Ang Lee. ANG LEE. I'm so happy I wasn't drinking anything when I read that.

Heck, even a lot of the Sheeple on the BBS are less-than-enthralled by Sims3. I think Pes made a comment about how there's really nothing new in TS3 that they couldn't encorporate into an EP for TS2.

I know Cecil wants that gigantic fishtank. Were Cecil the type to be giddy with joy, he would be giddy with joy at the thought of Really Big Fishtank.

If it's any consolation, the giant fishtank is only decoration. There's "fish" in there, but not the kind that Cecil would feed or clean. Whether he would like that or not, I don't know.

Ouch is right. I hope that the therapy stuff they're prescribing for you works to help out. It sounds painful ( ... )

Well, THAT's good. I'm sure people will stick with Pseudo, and then the rest of us can reap the benefits :)

I'm not big on change, which is why even if I did have a PC, I would probably wait to see what the glitches were and if there were modders like Pescado fixing them and some nice CC and maybe an EP or two.

The books are brilliant, even if Pullman thinks of them as (partly) the anti-Chronicles of Narnia. Plus he gets big points from me for his main character, Lyra, who is tough and morally ambiguous and interesting.

The buzz about the machinations behind Twilight never stops.

Thanks! Yeah. . .it's not too comfy. The exercises are intentionally meant to hurt a little. Evidently the nerve is kind of inflamed and "stuck," so the idea is to "unstick" it.

I just saw an article in this morning's LA Times business section about EA's financial losses and how they were going to have a "disappointing holiday season," and I thought, "you should have put out Mac EPs and SPs!" How hard could that have been? People would have bought them as gifts and with gift money and gift cards, and now that is a missed opportunity.

I'll be interested to know what you think.

Oh, yes, forgot to add. . . this is why I like having at least one class that is portfolio-graded. Students have to work on things throughout the term (which in our case is ten weeks.) So there is a lot to do during the term, but at the end, it's mostly adding, cleaning, and polishing.

I hope your therapy and holidays go well, hon.

As for reading sims2 stories, I for one don't intend to quit reading or writing them. Sims3 has a few points that interest me, but more that doesn't so I'll be sticking with Sims2 for some time to come. But like Doc said, if you feel like you need a break take one. We'll be here for you when you get back.

Thanks! Stuff happens, I guess. I would just hate to force myself to keep going if I was just bored.

I'm so sorry about your nerve problem. I hope the therapy goes well for you.

I have to say the same as everyone else - I really don't think our Sims 2 stories will go away just because Sims 3 is out. I, for one, am not even sure if I'm going to get Sims 3 for a while after it comes out. I'm not really sure about it, and I love my current Sims too much. Besides, we all want to keep reading about your Sims families (which are our families, too, since so many of our Simselves have married in).

I do wish they'd finally get all the expansion and stuff packs to you, though. It's really crappy that they haven't.

Good point. Most of you have married in by now! So now I do have to keep going. Also, by the time you get to Gen 8, you really do want to finish.
