Oh yes - it's an alien ship, like the Chula ambulance with the ability to alter it's immediate environment - I love that. Not to mention that it seems the ship is creating its own people too - poor Hurley. Loved certain turns of phrase - in particular: “Ah… the reluctant leader, the con-man, the torturer, and the thief. But enough about me.” The stranger smiled. Nothing short of a piano should show that much ivory. and Why Grand-Ma, what big integers you have… :)

You should think about communities to post to. dwfiction is big, and where I've posted my DW links in the past, but you should also consider Lost ones like ficinabottle. Worth joining even if you don't want to read them, just to be able to post links.

Many thanks! I am a little wary about posting this one to communities for a while, as I have not seen Season Four of "Lost" yet and I am a bit paranoid about being spoilered. However, the next ones I will be putting up are TW-specific, so I shall probably send them to torch_wood.

Thank you! There are so many things it would explain: the weirdness; the "fixing" people; the "Bad Wolf" clues scattered across spacetime; even Hurley's bizarre language-swap dream...

Very cool. Thank you for posting on torch_wood.

I loved the reference to "The Korea We Are Cool With" along with the other Lost references. Great theory about the Black Rock.

I am glad you liked it! The expression seemed to accord well with Hurley's well-intentioned but not exactly diplomatic approach to geopolitics.

yeah, though Tosh would probably react like she did in WW2: flatly state that she's Japanese.

though Hurley'd just say "okay", which would throw Tosh for a loop, yes?

I suspect that Tosh would not have been offended by Hurley's queries if he had vocalized them. The thing about Hugo is that he is so transparently a nice guy that even his moments of Foot in Mouth do not seriously bother people. The first time he realizes that Sayid served with the Republican Guard is a good example.

Hurley and Tosh!

Tosh and Sun would get on like - wait, wrong simile. they'd be along smashingly.
(clearly I need practice)

super fic!

I am very glad that you enjoyed it! Yes, I think that Tosh and Sun would get along famously. They are both women whose quietness and reserve lead people to underestimate them; it is only in moments of crisis that the core of unrelenting steel becomes apparent. And neither is afraid to rebuke her respective Jack when he is behaving in a high-handed or reckless fashion.

prior to here and there this season, the last I saw of the show, one of Sun's flashbacks revealed that she (and borrowing money) was the reason Jin was working for - I think - her father.
