Very cool. Thank you for posting on torch_wood.

I loved the reference to "The Korea We Are Cool With" along with the other Lost references. Great theory about the Black Rock.

I am glad you liked it! The expression seemed to accord well with Hurley's well-intentioned but not exactly diplomatic approach to geopolitics.

yeah, though Tosh would probably react like she did in WW2: flatly state that she's Japanese.

though Hurley'd just say "okay", which would throw Tosh for a loop, yes?

I suspect that Tosh would not have been offended by Hurley's queries if he had vocalized them. The thing about Hugo is that he is so transparently a nice guy that even his moments of Foot in Mouth do not seriously bother people. The first time he realizes that Sayid served with the Republican Guard is a good example.

I missed a lot of episodes; I watched most of s1, and a few eps of each season...every time I try to get back into the show, something else comes along and distracts me.

though...Tosh and Sayid (shippy or not) would be an interesting ficlet/drabble, yes?

we should probably arrange for ficlet trades - you tell me what you'd like me to write for you.

Oh yes. After all, Sayid is one of the very few people in Lost with abstract intelligence and technical skills even remotely comparable to Tosh's. And there is much potential for angst, when one considers Tosh's time in a UNIT cell and Sayid's guilt about what he did in Iraq.

Much appreciated, but do not expect very much from my end; it takes me a long time to put anything together. I shall keep it in mind for the future, though.

I do remember one episode wherein Sayid remembers (post-Iraq) being on the recieving end of such attention. the woman had a cat.

>a long time
the great thing about fic exchanges is that there's no time limit.

if memory serves, she wasn't offended in WW2 either.

though..."I think you went back in time," Hurley said.
"Again?" Tosh asked.
"'Again'?" puzzled.

Nice. The Island's particular strangeness is the sort of puzzle which I can see as appealing to Tosh's formidably tidy mind.
