Disclaimer: This is just a silly crack!fic, although it somehow took a weirdly serious twist. I had a random ridiculous-mental-image, got an encouraging response at just the wrong moment… And this resulted.

*laughs and claps her hands in delight* No, I didn't realize! I guess I must have just gotten lucky with this. *shakes her head in wonder*

I think ferrets are adorable, but I actually know very, very little about them. But it really ended up that close? Wow. I'm amazed. Maybe I knew more than I thought I did. (Although... I thought ferrets were a subspecies of weasel? Mind, that was from Wikipedia, and we all know how utterly reliable that can be.

I'm thinking about continuing the Tachi storyline, or at least filling in the scenes that we don't see. If you have any further information on ferrets or weasels (or suggestions for where I might find references), I'd be glad to hear it!

Wow, it took me long enough to check back here.

Well, for references there's always the tried and true "Ferrets for Dummies." The author is awesome. And I generally like Wikipedia (I can't quite recall what ferrets are classified (canine/weasel). It is often debated.), and they supply links.

I also remember that they can be territorial, large groups of them can break off into separate packs with their own Alpha leader. If they bite a person, they will easily draw blood and are almost impossible to make let go (especially if you don't want to hurt them in the process). They can swim (for a short while), though whether they like water depends on its nature. And they are suckers for raisens.

*grins* I'm just pleased you like it so much.

I thought there might be other Tachi stories - the little pest is certainly lively enough. But the Naruto plot has moved on, and I've yet to catch any 'hooks' that inspire another installment. Plus, I'm mostly working on original stories and the long over-analysis of each new chapter, because I'm strange that way these days.

Mind you, I haven't given up on Tachi. He's just curled up in his weasel-basket on Sasuke's shoulder's, taking a well-earned nap for the time being and keeping one eye open for the next flash of inspiration...

And sure, feel free to friend me, I don't mind. ^_^ (I typically don't friend people until I've talked to them for a while, though - I hope you don't mind. ^^;)
