I'm thinking that in the episides to come your third hope will have some fruition. They couldn't have Rose get over possessive of "her Doctor" and then suddenly stop.. This laid serious ground work for the dynamics of the relationship to change. First off she got hands on knowledge that he's had others before her and that they've not all parted ways in the healthiest of manners. Secondly the fact that the Doctor is not merely letting Mickey stay, but almost embraced him coming. Why have Mickey come? In allowing him to come along the Doctor can somehow transfer Rose's affections away from himself and back towards Mickey.

Interesting thoughts.

I have heard through back alleys and stuff that Mickey 'leaves' at the end of episode 6. Read into that what you may. I'd hope that if this is the case it ends up affecting Rose in some way, not because I like seeing her tortured, but because outside of the Doctor regenerating she really has yet to see that travelling has consequences. She really hasn't yet...she seems to accept that the Doctor is going to be OK no matter what (though she has no clue how many regenerations he has left), and I think she has a niggling thought that if things go bad she'll just have the ARDIS open up and solve everything again.

But I'm trying to place thoughts on something that's been already scripted.

A appreciate the 'development' of the character, just not the way it is being developed. And Rose is becoming a very unlikeable character.

I saw rumors going around that Mickey is leaving as well. But I certianly think the stuff that went down this week will knock her down a peg or two.

Something else that just occured to me.. What was th thing that finally got Rose and Sarah JAne to stop sniping and start laughing. The TARDIS, that is the TARDIS that he truly loves. Maybe some of the Tardis is still in Rose? Pulled that one out of my ass, but lets see what happens.

And i can see as well where the characterization of the Doctor might eat it up for a bit, because they surely were playing it up that he appreciated it. EccleDoc was bitter and alone. He was also feeling alot of guilt. He survived the Timewar, no one else did. The Plastacine Entity (i know thats nto right but i cna't remember and it fits... the big pool of goop from Rose) says that they were fucked up in the Timewar, he gets to feel guilty about that. I want to say that the Gelth also implied that they got fucked up in the Timewar, more guilt ( ... )

I certainly hope so. Her reality check bounced a while ago.

Interesting thought, and one I don't think I've seen mentioned yet.

More when I get home.
