A bout of flu has kept me on my couch, re-watching episodes of Doctor Who and feeling generally despondent. So, for boredom’s sake, I’ve compiled my Top 10 episodes list... which turned into a Top 12 list, because I really wanted to include 42 and Father’s Day. Interesting list. It’s difficult to make a shortlist because there are a lot of good episodes but The Doctor’s wife would certainly be in my list, and quite high as well.

Blink is another of my all time favourites, but I agree with you that Midnight does belong there on the top. That episode was just amazing: a brilliant script and superb acting. This was one of the first episode my mum saw, and she thought it was fantastic as well. It’s the reason she follows the series now. She did like Tennant more than Mat - he’s a bit too young for her likings - though she does agree that he’s doing a wonderful job. But I just can’t compare them, I think that every Doctor did the best with what they got and put something of themselves in them. I wasn’t a big fan of Nine, but I’m rewatching the DVD’s of season one and after watching three eps, I honestly wonder why I thought he was “the least” of the three. Haha, when I was trying to get my mum into the show, I think I showed her Midnight first, too. She did like it, but doesn't seem all that impressed with the rest of the show, though she will watch some episodes to humour me. (I've shown her most of my favourites from the Nine and Ten series, but she hasn't seen Eleven yet ( ... )
