If it is enlarged, they will take it out up there. If it is not, it's not urgent and can be done down here somewhat at my leisure. But, bottom line, the dr wants it out. The Mayo rigamarole is basically for a *firm* diagnosis of MG since my blood tests (for antibodies) were negative. The dr said, "I want to find out you have this before we saw into your sternum." I like his attitude.
