Wow--that opening scene was just heartbreaking! I gasped aloud when I read that she actually hit him.

I almost took that part out because it was a little hard for me to have her hit him, because it was a little too close to the whole Aaron thing (and I generally don't like to physically harm Logan, at least not in any of the fics I've written so far). But then I figured it would probably be the only thing she could do that would keep him away from her for that long.

I'm glad you left it in, because it works even though it's painful to read. Veronica tends to always justify her own actions (especially in s3) but hitting Logan is probably the only thing she wouldn't be able to forgive herself for, because of Aaron.
