You made all of those things?

Most all of it, yes! There are a few things that other people brought with them yesterday, but most of it is my own baking.

That's a lot of stuff for one dinner!

It is, isn't it? But with so many people all coming to eat, we rather needed that much to make sure there was plenty for everyone.

Dare I even ask how much you made?

[! Oh, that's right, the filters.]

I really don't know why you'd think I'd give you an answer, anyway.

It's not like the answer is something I could use against you. Merely a query, albiet a dry one.

I wouldn't put it past you to find a way, somehow.

But if you must know, it's traditional to have a feast for Thanksgiving, and I was counting the leftovers from it.

Somehow I knew that would catch your attention, Edmund. Enough so that I've already set one aside for you, before I even offered up any of the others.

I think that's evidence you know me too well.

Madam, I truly must apologize for the rudeness and embarrassment that may have been caused by my two colleagues.

primrosella November 26 2011, 19:54:07 UTC
Your two--oh, you must mean the gentleman asking for all the pies, and the other one trying to dissuade him? Really, it's no trouble at all, but it really would be a help to me if I could get rid of some of these baked things, believe me.

Unfortunately, yes. A sad situation, really. Truly sad.

However, it would be also sad to allow things to go to waste, as you said. If you wouldn't mind ignoring his touch of flush in the presence of so beautiful a lady and had the time and inclination to allow the former gentlemen to relieve you of some baked goods, I would be most grateful.

Now that I have my second wind, [ The feast at the warehouse having nearly put Yusuf into a blissful but altogether unhelpful sleep-coma, ] I would be more than glad to take some leftovers off your hands.

(ooc: Saya invited Eames and then, kind of by proxy Yusuf, to Rosella's Thanksgiving feast. Can we assume much handwaving for the actual feasting part of that equation?)

[Who needs somnacin when she can just stuff you full of food, really.]

Oh, good, you enjoyed everything, then? Yes, of course, I'd be happy to wrap up some more for you, and I'm so very glad you had a good time!

[OOC: Absolutely! I sort of failed at any kind of IC or OOC coordination for her dinner, but she does it every year so the show must go on with or without me. Let us handwave away!]

[ You may be on to a truly brilliant alternative... ]

I can say, without a hint of farce, that everything on that table was flawlessly crafted. It was enough to best two grown men-- and that is before taking the desserts and good company into account.

(ooc: Cool! I'm assuming Yusuf basically only got to say hello and this food is amazing how are you real?! because Rosella probably had her hands full with all the other guests? )

[Yusuf, however did you know that she is a sucker for flattery. Congratulations, you are never escaping her baked goods ever again.]

Oh, well, I'm so very glad you thought so! I've had a bit of practice at it, you see--we usually have a big dinner for the holiday, and it's such fun to get everything ready for it, even if it does get a bit hectic at times.

[OOC: He may have occasionally seen the back of her head as she sprinted from kitchen to dining room laden with food approximately ten thousand times, yes. o/ And I expect she probably knows he's one of the guests Saya invited, but that's roughly it.]
