I'm afraid not, no. But I've had people from home come to visit me before, so it's really not so bad as you might think. I do still get to see my family at times, when they can manage to get through to see me.
I vote for staying inside under piles of blankets.
Try not to worry about things that've happened before? No matter what other Octobers have been like, they're not this one. We have a chance at having a pretty okay month, I think.
I'm rather tempted toward it, honestly. Though I can hardly believe I really spent the whole day yesterday under my covers. I didn't get a single thing done, other than to get Snowdrop settled back in and to check on Prince.
It's less worrying and more just thinking out loud, really. I suppose I ought to admit that no matter how much I want to find patterns in things, sometimes they're just not there. But I still always find myself looking for them, anyway.
Sounds like you did what you needed to do. You're feeling okay, though? Not sick from walking around wet?
I guess that's good, though... maybe you'll be prepared for the bad things that happen over and over. And it doesn't hurt to be extra careful. But Halloween should be fun, right? I liked it last year. I'm kind of hoping there'll be a giant Halloween party.
My throat does feel a bit sore, but I'm drinking lots of tea and trying to convince myself that I'm not really coming down with something. I'm afraid it's a bit of a failed effort, though, since the tea doesn't seem to be helping any.
Oh, didn't we have all the visitors come last year? That's right, and we had a great big party in the Warehouse for it, too! Oh, we ought to do that again, it'd be great fun.
Ugh, I haven't even looked at those shoes since I made it back inside the Warehouse. I kicked them off somewhere near the door and went right upstairs for a hot bath, and I haven't been back that way since.

You're always welcome! There's plenty of room, and things stayed mostly dry here, so there's no fear of damp bedding or wet carpet or anything like that. And having company might convince me to come out from under my covers, even.

You all made it back to the Opera House safely, then?

Did you and Todd make it home all right? If your apartment is all waterlogged, you're welcome to come stay at the Warehouse until things dry out.

That's really nice of you, Rosella. I think we might take you up on that.
[Actually? Their apartment's not bad, but well...]
