I don't think there's ever any way to know, what's the right choice when that sort of thing happens. I'm just glad we're all all right.

I think it comes down to making the most sensible choice with the knowledge you have, and hoping for the best from there.

Did you and Todd make it home all right? If your apartment is all waterlogged, you're welcome to come stay at the Warehouse until things dry out.

I agree.

That's really nice of you, Rosella. I think we might take you up on that.

[Actually? Their apartment's not bad, but well...]

You're always welcome! There's plenty of room, and things stayed mostly dry here, so there's no fear of damp bedding or wet carpet or anything like that. And having company might convince me to come out from under my covers, even.

Well, then it's for a good cause, too.

do you want to say he's at the warehouse and I'll action? or she'll just network comfort, whichever. primrosella October 3 2010, 03:20:04 UTC
Oh? Getting me out from under my covers is a good cause, now?

There's nothing wrong with staying warm and dry, especially now, but we wouldn't want you to vanish forever.

I wouldn't vanish forever!

...Though I might be tempted to wait it out until spring.

But winter can be nice...

Well, yes, it can. There's skating and snowflakes and Christmas, of course, and all the other lovely things that come with it. But spring is still my favorite of all.

Spring's nice because it means summer's coming. I think I like summer better, myself.

With Midsummer being the best time of all?

Well. There's that.

At home summer meant at least a little freedom, even if I ended up taking classes most of the time. And the weather was warm enough to swim, and... it's just nice, you know?

Oh, because you were at school, weren't you? And then in the summers you didn't have it. That's right, I forgot that's how schools are meant to work. I always just learned in the mornings and had the afternoons to myself, no matter the season.

But you're right, summer is nice that way. And especially so when it's summer in the middle of winter, like we sometimes have here!

Exactly. Though you could take courses, in some schools, if you were behind or wanted to get ahead. It was always important to my father that I get ahead when I could manage it.

There's something to be said for Midsummer snows, Midwinter days at the beach, you're right.

There is something to be said for getting ahead, it's true. But I'm glad you had time to yourself in the summers, too. You certainly deserve it.

They're really quite ridiculous, but still rather fun, aren't they?
