At some point, before breaking those herms out in the Sanc yard, Rylie sends Snape a note. The writing is quick, thin, and scratchy, more urgent than her typical somewhat-lazy handwriting, and the language is more formally-stilted than anything she'd write under normal conditions.

Headmaster Snape:

At this point, I don't believe that I can comfortably continue to attend the Prince Institute. Barring further developments, I'll be ceasing my attendance effective immediately, and will most likely not be returning.
