Daddy Holloway is one scary dude! Dayum. Poor Matt, arguing and begging and making no difference in the outcome. Poor Josh, insecure and afraid and now alone! I love Matt and Josh when they are young. I wish they had a happy ever after instead of the sad future we already know. They need hugs!
I am so glad to see the update! I have been too busy the past week to continue my reread, but I'll get back to it soon. Hope your lives all settle into a gentle rhythm soon.
Oh yeah, is he ever! He has money and clout and isn't afraid to use either one, nor apparently, his obviously lowlife connections.
Thank you so much for commenting - we love these boys very much too, and they do at least get some more happiness before it all falls apart again. Plus, with the way things go in this story... younever really know how things end! ;-P
Thanks too, for your kind wishes. We've certainly all had ups and downs, and some are still ongoing, so hopefully it won't make things too hard here for long!
Well, I feel the need to remind you of Chapter 77 - A Gift from the Heart. That may give you a slight hint of where these two go from here.
But yeah, is sad, isn't it? Sometimes the writers here just wish that they could make everything better for them, even though we know the world doesn't work that way *frownies*
Hee! I think a bunch of people did, but I don't blame them! It was the week after Hugh kidnapped Eric, and I think everyone was in a bit of a panic over that, so it's no surprise that a chapter as shmoopy as that just flew over everyone's heads! Hee! But you've found it now ;)

You described so well that proud and rich man, Josh's Daddy. He seems incapable of seing he is risking his wife'life and also that his son can be attracted by his own sex. He did not mind blackmail Matt. Now I don't know what is going to happen with this couple till they met in Freeman·s. Thank you so much for sharing. Martha
Sorry for the delay in responding! I'm chastising as we speak! (ha - in joke, sorry). Thank you for the kind words to show that this scene seems to have worked!
We all despise Mr. Holloway somewhat intensely, but you can just imagine that type of rich and ignorant father being like that, can't you?
We hope to have some nicer bits on offer in the future, as the boys do manage some other good times... but we don't promise Happily Ever Afters, I'm afraid... that's all up in the air!

Yes, poor Matt and Josh - their life was never going to be an easy one, but rest assured there are more adventures in store for them! ;-)
