So. Over at
azalee_calypso's journal there was this meme. I forgot I asked for a drabble, but I totally did (and it was ~*wonderful*~ because there is not enough Shiki/Neku) and anyway, the rules are that the first ten to comment get a free drabble. The price~? You're supposed to do the meme back. And, I'm not going to like, hunt you down to get my drabble's

I'd like a rewrite of the Valley of the End scene, cut however long or short you want the drabble to be (like just skip to the Critical Moment if you want to). Since it's already dark and angsty on its own, I thought that combining this with another Critical, Dark And Angsty moment from another series would make it more individual and creative. In fact, the more you keep The Other Scene in mind, the better.
This time I'd like them to fight in some really murky woods (you live in the woods so I hope this won't be too hard). A little less fighting and a little more dialog (even though there was already tons of dialog in the original). And after Sasuke leaves, I don't want Naruto to be found by Kakashi; I want him to be found by the wolves, Kiba and Akamaru.
Finally, if you could find a way to include this line, I'd be forever grateful:
"You're not good for me, Bella ( ... )

I totally bullied wistymon into beta duty and helping me decide which rough draft worked better.

Sasuke glistens in the sunlight filtering through the trees, still dripping wet from their scuffle in the river behind them.
"Aren't you afraid?" Sasuke challenges, his grin wide and horrifying. Blood still drips from one hand. Naruto can't feel the hole in his chest; they're past that. The physical wound is gone, and the metaphorical Sasuke-shaped hole in his chest hurts far more than a bloody hole in his torso ever could.
"No," Naruto replies.
"Even though you know what I am..." Sasuke says, circling Naruto like a predator. "Even though you know what I want to do to you--what I almost accomplished?"
"IT'S KIND OF HARD TO MISS THE HOLE YOU JUST PUT THROUGH MY CHEST." And, okay, maybe they aren't quite past that yet, but Naruto can't physically feel it right now, so it's not as bad as it would be if he were still bleeding out over the ( ... )

To me this felt like a complete crossover. Usually I'm not quite a fan of them, and while I asked you to do one, I now realize I don't know what I expected. But this! Somehow you entwined them so well you were able to bring out the best of what I liked about both stories. The dialog! Holy shit, like I knew which pieces were from which stories but-ah! Like I said, it was so well joined that it flowed. I can't believe what you did with this.
Like I said on MSN, I suddenly want to read the whole Twilight series written with the Naruto characters. If the rest of it were written like this I'd never put it down.
The last line homg guh /dead

I suddenly want to read the whole Twilight series written with the Naruto characters. I, um, I'm not even going to pretend I'm going to do the whole series, but if I were to continue (with maybe drabbles or ficbits or whatever, because oh, man this was fun to write) I am not touching Breaking Dawn witha twenty foot pole. As far as I am concerned, Stephenie Meyer died before the fourth book in the saga could be completed. Rocks fell, everyone was sad. There are no books past Eclipse.
<3 I'm glad you like it so much~! I'm just going to go over to that corner and flail for a bit.
