Wow! I did some searching and noticed you wrote a lot of content on the site. I'm very impressed, not only at the amount but the quality too. You must have worked very hard.
Too bad we didn't run into each other at the con. Our group might have gotten into one of the pics for the site... heh, well probably not, but it would have been fun.

: ) thanks! i wish i could say i poured some blood/sweat/tears into my writing, but to be honest, article writing comes pretty naturally these days. it's a *very* interesting blend of creative writing and journalism; it's ironic that i never wanted to take journalism at csumb, and yet that one class has done more for me than a lot of other ones combined.

and yeah, fanime was weird this year -- i didn't see most of the people i normally do. and i was all over the place. i guess it's just that big now. either way, i was working and/or with my boss, so it wasn't a footloose sorta convention... still fun tho.

I felt the same way about journalism, but writing short articles really is an important skill and I liked the challenge too. You have a lot of skill to be able to write causally and get such nice results. It must help that you are writing about what you like though. Congrats on the page making it online.

writing about non-homework topics makes a huge difference. although, i'm still caught off guard at how similar to homework my type of work is... there's research, and prep time, and only i can get it done by the due date... at least this way, i get money instead of giving it to someone. : )
