fanime was... well, uber-geeky this year. i've never seen so much cosplay, and the frantic excited caffeine energy was nearly tangible. yet, despite the awesome turnout, the con itself was rather meh. i'll try and post the report i write up for slapptastic; or at least post a piece of it ( Read more... )

the downside to shared walls: hearing other people. you can hear our neighbor's tv loud and clear, up to around midnight. plumbing and walking noises i'm fine with; but it's hard to tune out voices because (unlike, say, a washing machine) there's no predictable rhythm for your brian to hold onto and phase out. so... we'll see. if it stays annoying ( Read more... )
