i'm pretty proud of it - it's a good list, it's good music, and it's a collaborative effort. that being said, if you can think of ANY other songs that were part of the traditional Box dance set, let me know! i want an accurate playlist because sometimes i miss The Box; this way, at least i can put on some music and dance, even if it's not quite the same.
and if you want a copy, let me know! it might not fit on CD but i could at least get you the songs. ^_^
what else... today is charts... yay extra cash-making efforts...
danny took his big test yesterday... he studied his ass off - i'm serious, he studied so freakin' hard - but apparently, the test was different from the past couple years. it focused heavily on areas no one expected to be important; HE studied all the practical, every-day use stuff. it's hard to tell at this point if he passed or not; not that he didn't try his absolute hardest. so first off, hats off to him for working so hard. that took dedication. secondly, it could affect the whole joint-income-rent situation a little longer than i'd expected (passing the test gets you a certification and automatic raise). that freaked me out yesterday, but i'm better today. as long as i work up a very specific budget, so we each know exactly how much money we have to put in the joint account for joint expenses, we'll be ok.
but danny also took another test - some corporate management assessment test - and he passed that one with flying colors so bright, they temporarily blinded people around him. his current boss was very impressed, and has nothing but nice words to say about him, which is good because today (hopefully) is the day he talks to the person who will tell him the location of his new job. once we know *that,* the rest (housing, commute, etc.)should fall into place. also, he's nearly positive he'll be placed in a store that needs a manager, so there's a raise in the works. and that's always good.
i'll be leaving marina around 6 pm today; i can't leave earlier because charts might not be done, and i'm certainly not leaving in the middle of rush hour. tomorrow through thursday is work; friday (hopefully) is move-in day; saturday and sunday i'll be at fanime. i'm pretty behind on work at the moment. it's nothing an hour or two won't fix, but things have been so crazy at home, it's been hard to sit down and concentrate. luckily, koji knows i'm moving as early as friday, so that's sort of a free pass. i still need to get the work done, but there's leeway.
