BSNL service

My father-in-law got his BSNL phone bill for a whopping Rs 21,000/- so he took it to their office. The first chap looked at it and said "this is a mistake, take it to that person", so fil takes it to the next person. He looks at it admits there is an error, looks up his computer and gets the correct details, takes a print out and gives the new bill ( Read more... )

Oh! Other cities are still bad is it?? I thought because of competition things were the same everywere.

Wow! This is amazing. What I remember from 15 years ago was that even in Mumbai, people had to wait for years to get a phoneline. It really has changed for the better. I am so happy to read that.

And the fun part was when we were booking the phone they said they have a tatkal scheme for Rs 15,000 (deposit) where you will get the phone in 7 days, or the normal scheme where you pay some nominal deposit. I opted for the latter since my house was some 2 weeks away from completion. And it arrives in 3 days. Heh!

Now anyone and everyone can have a phone, unlike old days. I can't help recalling this food cart preparing chinese items named "chinese dragon" I think, the fellow was having TATA or Reliances wireless phone;-)
