I had tried GPRS on my Nokia (3120) so far. So finally I checked CellOne's website and found all I had to do was send GPRS49 to 3833. Cool! The 49 was for Rs 49/m charge, if you are on prepaid then you send GPRS ACT. As soon as I sent it I got an SMS back saying I will be receiving a confirmation SMS. That never came. DataOne broadband connection

Yesterday finally I upgraded from my almost decade old dial up connection. I had known that BSNLs DataOne would be the best alternative, especially since we coupled with their phone service too. My father-in-law got his BSNL phone bill for a whopping Rs 21,000/- so he took it to their office. The first chap looked at it and said "this is a mistake, take it to that person", so fil takes it to the next person. He looks at it admits there is an error, looks up his computer and gets the correct details, takes a print out and gives the new bill ( Read more... )

Problem with my dial up connection solved

I have a dial up connection which is still adequate for my needs. I have a Vasnet unlimited connection (Rs 4000/year) and a BSNL unlimited internet phoneline. BSNL's unlimited phone line allows me to connect to the internet for an unlimited time, and I get charged Rs 500/ month only ( Read more... )
