Life, in a nutshell.

I had my 33 week checkup yesterday (I'm not 33 weeks till Thursday, but whatever.) I'm measuring 43 centimeters which translates into 43 weeks, which of course isn't real...most people are done by this size. Hence, the severe lack of clothing that fits me. I've taken to wearing XXL mens pajama pants and some fabulous yoga pants from Victorias ( Read more... )

I hadn't heard their names up until now and oh, I love them! Those are perfect!

We definitely have to come down this spring. I'm going to want to see these babies. I mean, I want to see them now, and they're not even here!

Oh, and yes, a rocker that you love is worth its weight in gold. I can't count how many times I fell asleep in ours, not intentionally, but just from exhaustion.

I thought of that after I posted, that I never posted their names...

Beckham Mordecai
Lily Ann

Jacob always wanted to use the name Mordecai, as a nod to his Jewish heritage. I didn't like it for a first name, but middle I'm good with. Lily Ann is after his grandma, Lillian, and Beck is my Great Grandma's last name...but I tweaked it to Beckham cause I like it better. So his name is long, and hers is short, but that's fine, since the only place they'll really be side by side in full is the baby announcements...after that, they're on their own, so to speak.

Totally come out here...it will be so fun!

You probably didn't hear about the big debacle with my husband's family's puppy. They were going to name her Lily, and I was like, "Um, that's family name (Gus' great-grandma) that we'll probably use, and I'd really rather that she not have the same name as the family dog." So they used Ellie-- also a family name, but less likely to be used.

Yeah, didn't hear that....nice of them to (sort-of) oblige. Seems there are more Lilys around than I realized, but none that I know personally, so oh well. I'm pretty sure no one will be naming their kids Bali or Petra anytime soon, so our dogs are safe :)

I love them , I love it.

Can I just tell you, how much joy it brings to me to read this stuff in your journal? I'm near tears after reading all of this. I can't wait until those sweet things are out, to see pictures. What a mess I'll be, then!

Heh, you're so cute. I'm excited to see them too. I get ridiculously giddy when they move, even. Which is all the time. People keep thinking I'm being a Pollyanna or something because I am just so excited about all of this...but really I'm just so grateful. All of this is still just amazing to me. I can't even imagine complaining about it, after wanting it for so long. So yeah. Pollyanna or not, I'll be a mess right there with ya. :)

You know, though, yesterday was my birthday, and I went back and looked at old entries... and I was blown away by how profoundly grateful I felt for the changes Aidan has brought, and what a blessing he is. As we get closer to his birthday, the feelings are intensifying.
