Life, in a nutshell.

I had my 33 week checkup yesterday (I'm not 33 weeks till Thursday, but whatever.) I'm measuring 43 centimeters which translates into 43 weeks, which of course isn't real...most people are done by this size. Hence, the severe lack of clothing that fits me. I've taken to wearing XXL mens pajama pants and some fabulous yoga pants from Victorias Secret. On occasion, if I must look presentable, I can put on my pregnancy jeans, but they start causing Braxton-Hicks after about 10 minutes...so it's really not that good of an option. Anyways, Beckham is head down, still, and, depending on his mood, and what position I'm in, sometimes posterior.  Lily is still transverse, but her head is resting on Beck's bottom, so she'll most likely slip into head down position when he gives her some room. They're each a bit over 4 pounds.

The nursery is coming along, I'll have to post pictures when it's straightened up enough to be presentable. For now: Cherry cribs, white walls, olive trim, brown and rusty orange accents. Jungle bedding. It's cute, even if it sounds a bit hodgepodge. Like I said, pictures when there aren't 400+ diapers on every flat surface.

I just got my rocker-recliner last night, it's great. I slept in it. :) Coffee brown microfiber. Good thing I like it, cause I'll probably be living in it for the first little bit.

Oh yes, and we're in the final stages of buying (sob!) a minivan. Jacob has already settled on a price, etc, we're just waiting for the trustees to sign the title. (It belonged to my brother-in-law's grandfather, who recently passed away. It's in the name of the trust.) So yeah. The girl who HATED her mother's minivan is now in the market. We considered other options...but well, with twins, and gas prices, the other options just weren't viable. And a double stroller isn't fitting in my Jetta anytime soon. And really, this van is too good a deal to pass on. Old people take care of their cars, and the kids just want to be rid of it...so it's a steal. So yeah...I'm joining the brood of minivan owners...though that isn't nearly as bad as the posh starlet wannabe moms talking on their cellphones in the giant SUVs, running over all the rest of us. So at least I haven't slipped that far. :P

I've been pretty reclusive lately, since I can't really go out presentably, and there's so much to do here. I get things done at a snails pace, cause I wear out pretty fast, but it gets done eventually. Jacob is being stellar, and oh so sweet, and helping anytime he can. We had the carpets cleaned about 2 weeks ago, and I've just barely gotten everything out of boxes and put back together. The house is clean...but no Christmas anything yet. I can't pull out the boxes, and until yesterday, didn't have things clean enough to want more stuff cluttering the house.

Speaking of Christmas, 90% of the people I'm giving gifts to are getting homemade stuff. If I get them done, that is. And it's a good thing I made cards last year and never sent them. At least now I have some cards to send. Heh. And since I just barely did thank you cards for my baby showers, I have addresses. Amazing. Now we'll just see if I have the stamina.

Anyway, that's where I'm at.
Phew. That was long.
