And... Nothing

Feb 28, 2011 09:31

So, sadly, and to my utter disappointment, the 25th of Feb (my due date) has come and gone. And now i'm most likely having a March baby instead of a February baby- I really wanted a Feb baby... I'm ready for a Feb baby :( so unless by some miracle i got into labour this afternoon, he or she will be born in March ( Read more... )

How about some of the less -yucky- old wives tales? Pinapple, sex, nipple stimulation? (I would never do the castor oil thing, gross!)

Just think, the longer baby is in there, the longer he/she has for their lungs and digestive system to develope. (Even "full term" babies can sometimes use extra time in there!)

I hope baby decides to come on their own, with out an induction!

I've tried nipple stimulation...as for sex- it really is the last thing i want to be doing, im so tired, uncomfy, and feeling so unattractive.

Maybe ill try bouncing on the exercise ball or something...

I guess your right :) I'm just at my wits end, as selfish as it may be.

Thanks, i hope by some miracle the baby makes an appearance today.

I'm terribly sorry if this sounds a bit crass, but how about just helping hubby out so that he "finishes" inside of you? From everything that I've read it's specifically something (prostaglandins, or something?) in semen that stimulates contractions, and lately hubs and I have been doing a similar thing, because if I've got my belly touching him and Jenner moves, he loses all ability to perform, lol.

I'll keep my fingers crossed for you to have a February baby! <3

thats actually not a bad idea at all... the last time we had sex, about 2 weeks ago, it was actually a little painful.. but surely if he's just finishing it wont be for so long anyway- i might give this a go!
:) Thank you.

Good luck hon!

I went to my 40 week appointment when I was 40 weeks and 2 days. There was absolutely nothing going on with my cervix (still high and closed) so my midwife did a stretch. My water broke at 3-something that day and I had my daughter not even 24 hours after that appointment. So hopefully it'll get things moving for you as well!

I was due on the 22nd, so I understand your "overdue blues." I'm not even feeling that bad physically but my husband is on very limited leave from the military and we have family coming in to help after the baby is born and I just am generally feeling like a watched pot. *sigh*

Good luck and I hope something happens for you (and me, too...lol) soon!

oh no! well atleast your feelings are justified... i just feel selfish lol

Gosh, well i really hope you do come asap- it'd be devastating for your husbands leave to run out before the baby come. I'll keep my fingers & toes crossed for you, and a smidgen for me ;)

This. I was induced when I had my son. It was a 3 day labor, with active labor really kicking in at 6:30pm - water broke naturally at 5 before midnight (new years eve!) and my son was born vaginally at 1:24am new years day. My OB fully prepared me for a long labor (meaning, they were planning on taking their time with the induction) and in those 3 days I didn't hear the word c-section once.

Whatever happens- best of luck!
