Dear fall, I thought that you were almost here, but apparently not. Sincerely, Anne

I went up north on Saturday and just came back to find that there's a heat advisory in the city. It's 32 degrees out, but the local weather network let me know that with the humidity it feels like 39. We don't have air conditioning. I'm so hot that I can't tell if I'm nauseous because I'm actually nauseous, or the heat has totally destroyed my ( Read more... )

Spray/mister bottle full of cold water! Plunk yourself down in front of a fan and mist yourself every few minutes. Sooooooo nice.

What is retardo?

Also, I sat for like 5 minutes before I realized we were thinking in different degrees, haha!

Haha oh right! I forgot that not everyone uses Celsius.

93 degrees fahrenheit, and with humidity 102.2

Oh God writing that out like that makes it seem even worse...

You must live near me, lol.

I was SERIOUSLY excited that last week it was feeling more like autumn and I was enjoying my hot tea and oatmeal breakfasts and taking the dogs for a walk in the crisp, cool evenings, and wearing a JACKET one day.

Now I feel like I can barely eat, and if I take the dogs out I feel sick when I come back inside. BLEGH BLEGH BLEGH. I am SO OVER summer. And lucky me had to go and be all pregnant during one of the hottest summers since I've lived here. Hah.

I do recommend swimming and going to the movies and walking around the mall and spending hours in Chapters. Go where the air conditioning is. :)

Based on your profile pic, we're in the same city! I used to live on the east coast where the summers are a lot cooler, so even though I've been here for 3 years I still find the heat stifling.

I'm at Avenue & St. Clair. How about you?

I'm actually in Mississauga, but still pretty close to TO! :)

I grew up in southern California, and even though it was technically hotter there, the humidity here is sooooo miserable in the summer!

Get a milk jug and freeze it with water then stick the frozen water jug in front of a fan. If it weren't approaching September I'd say buy a window ac unit and live in that room but you're almost at the end of the miserable heat.

The temperature by me is similar to what you are getting. It was so much nicer last week. I've been panting, staying indoors and wearing very little.
