I had PUPPP and it sucked. But giving birth didn't make it go away - I had it for about six weeks after. Are you getting induced for medical reasons? I'd still wait as long as possible (even though it suuuuucks) and not use PUPPP as a deciding factor. (It's way easier to be itchy and pregnant than itchy and taking care of a baby, if nothing else. ;) )
I took lots of oatmeal baths, I used some hydrocortisone cream, and I iced the rash. Eventually it did stop. ;)
Mostly I just sympathize. I hope no matter what you feel better soon.
My midwife said benedryl and zytec were safe antihistamines and they did help a bit. But what is this about "let" you go past your due date? It's YOUR body, YOUR baby, YOUR decision. You don't have to be induced if you don't want to.
I had PUPPP w/ my last pregnancy. What worked for me was cutting out dairy and taking flaxseed oil, dandelion root and nettle (in either teas or pills)
I sympathize. I don't have PUPPP, but I am about 39 weeks now and for the first time in my life, we have fleas in the house. And hence I discovered I'm allergic to fleas & flea bites. They're really going after my feet, ankles and lower legs, which I have a hard time reaching. It is driving me insane!
