No, I can count for a family friend who surprised us, and I'm in the bed and the baby was asleep and my ears were ringing and I had a massive head ache and the nurse came in to do vitals. It sucked. Mostly it was my kids, hubby, dad, and my brother and sister in law who was also my coach.
No. Definitely not. The only visitors we allowed were my parents and my favorite aunt. Everybody else was welcomed to visit when we got settled at home.
When I was in the hospital the day after my daughter was born, my Father in Law came for about an hour. He brought me flowers and visited Maddie in NICU for a few minutes. Once I was released, we had a couple close friends come meet Maddie in the NICU, but it was pretty low key.
I did NOT want people other than my husband there when I was in labor (she came in the middle of the night anyway, so.) and the only one I would have wanted right after was my Hubby and Mom, but my parents live 2000 miles away.
My husband, doula, and mom were in the delivery room, on top of the nurse and midwife. That was likely two too many for my taste. My dad was in the waiting room, and my grandma visited the next day before we went home.
This. Only my husband & my Mom will be there. I am not calling ANYONE until after the baby has arrived. My Cousin invited herself when I was first pregnant and I told my Mom I don't want her there! She's 47 never had a child and she's very very annoying. Everything has to be about her and I don't like it.
