switching practitioners

I'm 27 weeks along, and I'm seeing some wonderful CNMs (certified nurse-midwives) about 30 minutes away from where I live. I have no problem with them, personally - they really are great. However, they do practice out of a hospital, and as such there are some rather annoying regulations they have to follow during labor and birth ( Read more... )

No harm in trying to switch if you can. You wont ever regret trying to go after what you want in birth. Good luck!

I'd drive twice as far to try for the birth I wanted, so I say do it! You can always try to switch back if you end up not caring for them.

I would go for it. I switched last time at 35 weeks and gave birth at 37. It worked out well for me.
