So although my pregnancy is going well and there really isn't much of a reason for me to check in on him as he is incredibly active ALL THE TIME, I am simply greedy and want to be able to hear and feel everything my baby does all the time :) Therefore I have of course been looking into heartbeat monitors and such hoping to find something affordable ( Read more... )

Yes, a fetoscope is really for other people to be able to hear. And it can be rarely difficult to get the baby with it.

I think you can rent a doppler... If you google. It's fairly cheap, and it goes by a monthly rate.

i have one and used it a few times during my last pregnancy. they can be a little tricky to use at first. but you can use them yourself by keeping your palm flat against the forehead piece.

*also, a stethoscope would work just as well for you at that point of pregnancy. so consider that while price shopping online. :)
