Finally at 40 weeks. But not really excited. I'm more nervous and anxious than anything else. I was doing fine until "Has the baby come out yet?! Have you gone into labor?!" phone calls at odd hours and people randomly calling the MIL saying I'm at the hospital. So she called us at midnight going "How far are you dilated?!" to which point we ( Read more... )

I'll be miserable with you, I was due yesterday and this child is refusing to come out.

I have been on bedrest for 2 1/2 months now because of excrutiating pelvic pain but since I'm so close to labor they can't give me anymore pain medication, boo

Hopefully your little one comes soon!

Good luck girl, you're so close! I'm 38wks3d and really feeling it. Two nights ago I had false labor and spent all night in the hospital. I was just dehydrated and so my uterus was irritated and mimicking labor, having regular and strong contractions but I wasn't dilated at all. The night after I developed a head cold. My skin is realllly stretching, it kind of feels like "snake bite", remember that game when kids would twist the skin of your arm in two different directions? Is that how it feels for you ( ... )

I'm with you on the "You need to act like an adult" thing, but it's more with my roommate, who thinks that NOW is a good time to STOP stressing me out since the baby is due. Yeah, got the "WTF?" look on ever since.

the funny thing is it's so hard for me to keep busy since I finish my activities faster. I'm like "WTF? THIS TOOK TWO HOURS LAST WEEK!" And the skin thing feels like "Snake bite," but then starts acting the way the eczema on my legs do, then to total dryness that gets worse when I use lotion. It gets worse when I get emotionally anxious.

We went and bought pineapples yesterday, so I'm hoping that helps. But we've decided this kid is stubborn, so I fear the teenage years now. We're both stubborn and she's going to be an april baby, so we're screwed, lol.

hang in there, you are super close. Although dude, if my MIL called to ask me that at midnight I would hang up on her.

Have you tried massaging your skin with oil and thinking about his baby still needs you like this right now? It was recommended to my cousin when she went over, you'd pretty much do anything for your kids right? Including lug them around for a few extra days. This is a weird elastic time when you likely feel like you have been waiting and waiting, but it will all be over very very soon.

We would have just let the phone ring, but she called on my roommate's cell, so she answered and then handed it to us.

Oil didn't even cross my mind since all the lotions I use (scented, unscented, coco butter, and even my eczema cream) makes the itchiness worse.

I know it's almost over and would normally be keeping my cool. Everyone else around me is getting annoying anxious.

I have bio oil and I love it since everything else (I get eczema as well) irritates me profoundly.

Honestly no one would blame you if you started giving snarky answers.

"Yes, yes I HAVE had the baby and oops forgot to tell you."

"Yes I have had the baby but then i sold it on ebay, I can get another."

I cannot take credit for it (no idea where it came from) but by golly I'm starting to get use out of it.

I posted that to my facebook and apparently people took it as a request for advice on natural induction techniques. If only being annoyed with everyone around you got the baby out.

I went 41 weeks before I went into labour. When I was 36 weeks people started asking the 'have you had the baby yet?' questions. Next time I'm going to tell them my due date is a month AFTER the actual due date. It was so annoying.

I started getting trickles of it at 37 weeks. Then it got worse. I think for the next kiddums I'm doing the same, and not telling them if it's a boy or a girl, since for some reason my telling them "She, yes it's a girl" still got "So is it a girl or a boy?" How, don't ask.

My S.O., my roommate, and I already have a text ready going "IT'S A BOY!" for a joke tomorrow. We're fed up with it, so might as well, right?
