Overwhelmed

Hi Ladies

Having a rough time today.  On top of the Pre-E, I've developed a nice case of PUPPPS in the past week that has just continued to spread.  Nothing has helped - not even a little relief!  I can say 100% without a doubt that the itching is worse than the nausea, the headaches, the swollen sinuses (my face looks like a continued allergic ( Read more... )

awe, wish it wasn't so bad on you guys. But the ride's almost over, and is hopefully over soon after you deliver and see your baby boy. People shouldn't be telling you to get a C-section or to induce, though. That's just mean and rude. *hugs* It'll be worth it in the end, remember that.

The only thing that's given me relief from the incredible itching has been Sarna lotion. It's worth looking for if you haven't tried it! Very soothing, no alcohol to dry irritated skin further...

You're almost there! Just a week and change til full term! It may seem like forever but look how far you've come... hopefully you get to meet and hold your little boy soon (when he's good and ready!) and all this will be behind you.

I had PUPPP too. It was horrible. The only thing that worked for me was completely cutting out dairy.

Other things that made it more bearable:

flaxseed oil pills
dandelion root pills
nettle tea

I got PUPPPS with my first, and I know how you feel. I actually begged to be induced because of it (I seriously was unable to sleep for more than minutes at a time) I hated having to be induced but was happy that I was still able to do it without pain meds. There's a puppps group on yahoo-some tips there (I tried all the tips but nothing helped)-Grandpa's pine tar soap, Rainier soapworks makes a puppps soap, dandelion root, suntanning (in a bed)
The worst part is the PUPPPS doesn't go away immediately, it subsided but it took over a month to go away.
I hope your baby comes soon and you get some relief.

I am so sorry. I was pretty miserable with pre-e with my triplets. I didn't end up with PUPPS, but I had cholestasis and the itching would not STOP no matter what I tried. I have several friends who have suffered from PUPPS and I can't imagine how miserable you must be feeling. I hate pervasive itching.

I hope that you are able to find some relief before you deliver.
