Going numb?

I've noticed in th ethe last week or so that the outer part of my right thigh is going completely numb.  It is very localized- maybe a 6-8" inch square area?I wouldn't have noticed it, except I've been wearing pants and they feel really strange when they rub against it.  I don't know if it is all the time, because it really isn't that noticeable, ( Read more... )

Sounds like the sciatic nerve is being pinched. My DH has this constantly, and it drives him crazy!

The pregnancy is probably putting pressure on the spine where the nerve is.

That happened to me! I googled it at the time and got some reason why but I can't recall now ...

I've had a similar issue during my pregnancy, except with me it happened with a spot just below my right shoulder blade. I mentioned it to my midwife, who figured it was probably just the baby putting pressure on a nerve.

If it really bothers you, or you notice it's getting worse, you can always call your OB's office before your next appointment.

it's almost certainly either the baby or the extra fluids in your body (which increase by 40%) pressing on a nerve somewhere. I'm getting numbness in my arms.
