-First, I wanted to post a picture of the daddy diaper bag I made my husband, I screen printed the skunk image and name "London" down the side and sewed the bag together with the front pockets perfectly fitting diapers and a bottle. It didn't come out looking like I'd hoped but my husband assures me he likes it...(

But seriously, I had trouble functioning for a few months after the surgery, and continued to have sensitivity for almost a year. Now with my current pregnancy it's hellish. I just imagine having a vaginal birth that hurts for half a day is a lot easier than being sliced open and then hurting for months, and every other time you get pregnant, plus risking the life of your future kids because of uterine rupture, and then having your organs fall into your pelvic cavity when you reach about 50-60 :D
All those lovely side effects that the doc didn't make perfectly clear to me when he asked if I wanted to have a c-section in the hospital >:(

Well, I didn't have a c-section per se (ectopic pregnancy resulting in surgery), but I wasn't even allowed out of bed for a day or two. My uterus was A-OK and I STILL couldn't climb stairs more than once-twice a day or pick up my cat without help.
I don't know if all hospitals do this, but mine had compression wraps for your pelvis that made me feel SO much better. They said they used them for sections, too, and it took the edge off the my-guts-are-popping-out-when-I-sneeze feeling. Good luck, and wishing you a healthy baby and speedy recovery!
