OBVIOUSLY her doctor is better than yours.
What's wrong with chocolate? Did she get her food sheets reversed or something?

I have no idea. Maybe she's at risk for GD? Or the tiny amount of caffeine in chocolate? CLEARLY it's much more important to avoid chocolate than bacteria.

I see your point, but I always ate sandwich meats cold and sushi(although not the raw kinds).

Yeah - if my boyfriend wasn't so paranoid on behalf of my health, I probably wouldn't be too worried either. It was more irritating that she kept arguing with me, when really, she should have microwaved it for me REGARDLESS of why I wanted it done. It doesn't really take a lot of effort.

I WISH I could have sushi! I've been craving it nonstop since I found out. :( I'm even willing to compromise by eating the kind without raw fish, but it's a war with my boyfriend who doesn't want to risk anything. ^.~ It'd be sort of cute, if it weren't so frustrating.

I ate sandwich meats cold and RAW sushi.

Heck, if I thought i was going to get food poisoning, I wouldn't eat there in the first place. (I limited it though, because a lot of the raw stuff I like are the large fish that have mercury... I was far more worried about THAT than I was the rawness factor)

Me too. I always eat Subway sandwiches cold. Even after all the warnings.

Customer service these days. I swear!

I'll be glad to be able to go back to cold sandwiches I can easily pack up in the morning for lunch. I'm having to pack all the fixings and build my sandwich at work after I've nuked the meat.

I work at the health dept. and you better believe I can't get away with heating cold lunchmeat! Especially not after the Maple Leaf listeria incident here in Canada.

This wasn't an issue 10 year ago with my first baby.

Be pregnant and NOT eat chocolate? Is her doctor into sadism?

Who cares why you want it microwaved anyway? The point is you want the freakin turkey steaming hot and that's the way you should get it!
