Maybe a Subchorionic Hematoma? I had one and I now have a pain in the ass three year old!!! ;)

That seems like it could be possible. the blood mass was right near the top of my uterus right next to twin 2's placenta.

I am 14 weeks today and the bleeding stopped yesterday thankfully!

I had a subchorionic hematoma with my twins. Mine started to bleed at 5w5d and it was right between the babies. I spotted until 9w, but the babies were always just fine!

I had one of those "huge gushes of blood" about 6.5 weeks into this pregnancy and it scared the living crap out of me but everything ended up being fine as well. I'm glad everything is okay!

yeah scared is right I just about cried right then. The doctor looked like she was about to. But it's stopped now, I'm hoping it doesn't happen again.
