The incessant rains can paralyse normal routine. After the first monsoon showers that occured almost a fortnight ago, people waited for rains. Cribbed about the humidity and heat. And now the rains have started. Five days of continuous rain that almost drove Mumbai to a near-halt. And now people are praying for the rains to stop. Roads are deserted ( Read more... )

Good! Finally I meet someone who is supporting Portugal!

Most of the people are know are not looking forward to the finals as Brazil and England lost the matches. With the hot favourite Germany gone too, the World Cup is sure being an upsetter for most fans.

yes the rains r having a great time playing with people's fears..lol....speaking of rains...i had hot kanda bhajias yesterday with hot tea....and i wish i cud go home today and do that again;)...go go girl...i hope u win a 1000 bucks..hee hee....BTW ..how do u get those yahoo icons(coffee one) or smileys on ur journal?

Thankfully, this year it hasn't caught you completely unawares. I remember what a harrowing time you had - glad it's not as bad this time.

I guess we were mentally prepared this year. Of course, we did not expect the rains to play havoc so soon. Just hope that it ends here and there are no other incidents.
