Oooh! Love the bear! When they say "average difficulty", do you think it's a pattern that a relative n00b could handle, or would I be out of my league with it? Cause I gotta neice/nephew on the way and the thought of trying to crank out another blanket makes my wrists twinge with fear.

I think you probably could. There's short rows in it, which I'm not sure you've done but it's easy and you just need to trust and follow the instructions. And we could always get together too. :)
