I've never knitted but I saw the arm knitted scarves and fell in love. How hard would you say it would be for someone with no experience to accomplish one of those scarves?
The beginning might be tricky because it's complicated already with needles, but that's what youtube is for. The rest is super easy. Just remember not to make it too loose and give it a few rows to grow before you see if you like it. Knitting always looks like crap before you hit row five. :)
...Maybe try with some random string/yarn you've got lying around first, though, to figure out how to make the loops even.
