Are they really that guilty? I like both of those...
Mambo No. 5 is a great jive :)
Right now I'm listening to "Scarlet Inside" by Clannad. A few seconds ago, it was the fading strains of "I Can't Dance" by Genesis... Before that, "Tennis Boyfriend" by Freezepop and "Weisses Fleisch" by Rammstein...
They're all lovely, and I don't feel guilty about any of them :P
I like it. One of the nice side effects of it, is that you can use it to listen to a random selection of someone else's "library" - which is the intersection of everything they and last.fm own. Which is pretty close to "everything they own", 'cause last.fm own a lot :)
Of course, it's not great for privacy - everyone else in the world can see everything you listen to. But I think I'm mostly ok with that.
We PenguinLords do not care for music out here in space, save for the slow grinding sound of the passing aeons... Although, if I did happen to be scanning the interstellar frequencies and Love Fool by the Cardigans just happened to come on...
i think all the music i like is a guilty pleasure, what kind of music i listen to just depends what kind of mood i am in/want to be in. showtunes, disney, RnB, cheese - all has its place in cheering me up! likewise, sometimes i just want to wallow. i can't really pick anything that i'll *always* want to listen to... am i a freak??
Does this mean I'm allowed to be ever so slightly less apologetic for being Canadian and therefore in some way being partly responsible for having unleashed her on the world? :p
You can't be blamed for Celine Dion. These moonchildren strike out of the blue, and the inhabitants of the surrounding land are to be pitied rather than censured.
On the other hand, you are entitled to take credit for Godspeed You! Black Emperor, the Arrogant Worms and Three Dead Trolls In A Baggie :-)

Yes, all of these genres should be considered guilty pleasures.
