If I didn't know you have a lot of writing to do anyway I would beg for that school scene when they meet again and Marcus thinks ge can see the remnants of glitter in Esca's hair and it's so freaking hard to focus on chemistry when he still has the sight of his tattoos on his head :D

Sadly, I barely passed chem in HS. I can rope in a friend, though, if you give me some indicators of what would you need for a story, I think :)

Oh, that would be awesome! I'm looking for some sort of basic college chem 101 lab experiment, something that would be assigned pretty early in the semester, and that could be done whenever the students can make it to the lab. Ideally it would also involve fire/open flames.

I don't necessarily need to know everything about how the experiment would work (though the more I'd know, the better the scene/Esca's snark could be, I doubt I would neccesarily understand it all even with the best of explanations) but I'd need to know enough to have Esca instructing a little and smacking at Marcus for fucking up.

Other than that, I'm pretty open to any and all ideas/suggestions. You rock!

I'll ask around! My SO suggested anything with burning hydrogen, but he's a bit hazy on specifics. I sent a question to my friend though, maybe he'll come up with something :)
I'm not sure if Polish basic chem stuff is the same as American one, though :P

Awesome, I'll google burning hydrogen and see what pops up. And I totes figure it's got to be close enough that nobody would notice. The only glaring difference would probably be the measurments, and I can handwave those (or purposefully screw up the conversions so things can go boom). *squees* I'm so geeked about writing this now. :DD
